Sandbag: innovative action on climate change The Sandbag project is a new approach to involving people in the fight against climate change. Members of the site agree to pay to purchase carbon permits in the EU Emissions Trading Scheme and "retire" them, thus reducing the overall quantity of carbon emissions permitted in Europe. Sandbag is a social network, which offers members the chance to see each other's profiles and upload items of interest such as website links, images or videos.
